The National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia, in collaboration with the Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) initiative, has announced an upcoming event titled "Plagiarism in the Age of AI", scheduled for 21 September 2026.

The seminar will explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence on higher education and research, with a particular focus on the ethical challenges posed by AI-generated content and emerging forms of plagiarism. As AI tools become increasingly integrated into academic work, the event aims to promote responsible AI use while reinforcing the principles of research ethics and academic integrity.

Experts from Erasmus+ funded projects will discuss best practices for using AI in research, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges associated with these technologies. The programme will also feature a practical workshop where participants will learn how to effectively incorporate AI tools into research and higher education while maintaining ethical standards, responsible authorship, and academic honesty.

The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 4:15 PM (Georgia Time), with English as the working language. It is designed for PhD students, researchers and university professors.

Organizers have announced that the event will be held either online or in person, depending on the preferences of registered participants. Interested individuals are encouraged to register in advance and indicate their preferred mode of attendance.
